Hello!

 

Hello and thanks for stopping by!  My name is Kris Olson and I am a  passionate teacher and an accomplished pianist with a strong desire to instill a love of playing piano in others.  After graduating from Bethel University with a music degree,  I used my training to pursue many vocations including music and worship director, musical theater director, accompanist for dinner theaters, recitals, auditions, weddings, choirs, and of course, a private piano instructor.

During my 37 years of teaching, I have enjoyed introducing the piano to beginners of all ages as well as instructing intermediate and advanced students.  I love being an active member of the Minnesota Music Teachers Association and Minneapolis Music Teachers Forum because I have access to outstanding programs that challenge and equip students to become the best musicians and pianists they can be. I am also certified in Elementary and Intermediate Piano Pedagogy through the Royal Conservatory of Music.

When I'm not teaching piano, I love visiting the North Shore, biking, and dining out with my husband of over 30 years.  We love hanging out with our four daughters, four sons-in-law and five grandchildren.
